DuckSmart is a waterfowl hunting app designed to help hunters make smarter decisions about when and where to hunt. It analyzes weather patterns, environmental conditions, and hunting data to generate a daily duck flight prediction, helping users identify the best times for bird movement.

The Map screen in DuckSmart gives hunters a visual overview of where they are hunting and the conditions around them. It displays an interactive map with the hunter’s current location along with nearby wetlands, public hunting areas, and key waterfowl habitats.
Hunters can use the map to drop pins, mark blinds, and track past hunt locations, making it easier to plan future hunts. The map can also highlight hot zones based on recent hunt logs and conditions, helping users identify areas where bird activity has been strongest. Integrated weather and wind indicators provide additional context so hunters can understand how conditions might influence duck movement in different locations.

The Duck Identify screen in DuckSmart helps hunters quickly identify waterfowl species in the field. It provides a visual guide with clear illustrations and key identifying features such as plumage color, bill shape, size, and common markings.
Hunters can browse species by category (dabbling ducks, diving ducks, geese, etc.) or use a simple selection tool where they choose characteristics like body color, head markings, or bill color to narrow down possible matches. Each species profile includes photos, identifying traits, and typical habitat information, making it easy to confirm what bird they’re seeing.
The goal of the screen is to help hunters confidently identify ducks while hunting, ensuring they stay within regulations and better learn the species they encounter in the field.
